Max is a white mixed-breed dog described by his family as very sweet and friendly. He lives in San Antonio, Texas with his mom and two little human sisters. The adorable pooch spends his days playing with her sisters and getting pampered.
Sadly, their pet went missing one day. The family didn’t know how she was able to escape, and she wasn’t the type to run away from home. There was no time to figure out the answers, though. They need to find Max right away.
Like many responsible dog owners, the family reported the matter to the authorities and started their own search for the pooch. They distributed flyers and put up missing posters. Day after day, they hoped that Max would soon be found.
Two months after
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office received a call one day about a dog wandering around a local neighborhood. They sent Deputy Perez to handle the situation. When he arrived at the reported area, the officer seemed to recognize the dog. He then remembered seeing a missing poster in their station, and the stray pooch looked very much the same in the photo of the said poster.
Thankfully, the canine was friendly, and Deputy Perez was able to rescue him without any fuss. When they returned to the station, he immediately called the contact number on the poster. The officer was right, the dog was indeed the same; it was Max. Two months had passed since he went missing.

After confirming the dog’s identity, Deputy Perez drove over to the owner’s house and returned Max to them. The family was excited to have him back, especially the older daughter. She missed him so much and couldn’t help but shed tears of joy while hugging their pet. The kind cop was able to take a photo of their emotional reunion.
The photo, among several others, was posted on the Facebook Page of the Sheriff’s Office. The social media post received a lot of positive comments and quickly became viral. People noted the love between the little girl and her pet and how priceless such relationships are. They also commended Deputy Perez for his kindness and selfless efforts.
