Because of his experience as a herding dog, Farley knows a thing or two about taking care of farm animals. This was probably the reason why he quickly became attached to the farm owned by his forever family. He was later dubbed as the farm’s official manager because of his dedication to the animals there.
Farley is a sweet Australian Shepherd who was working as a herding dog until he was given away by his original owners because they couldn’t take care of him anymore. Although this broke the pup’s heart, he didn’t know he’d be entering a new world filled with more opportunities to expand his skills.
The rescue shelter’s founder, Laura Zaleski, developed a soft spot for the pup because of how much joy he showed when he was brought to the farm that housed rescue animals. Everyone could tell that Farley had found a place where he could belong.
Laura knew she didn’t want to get in the way of Farley finding his renewed purpose and decided to adopt him. Knowing that he didn’t have to leave the farm, he overflowed with joy because he felt like he was in his natural habitat.
But even though the farm’s population was composed of rescue animals, Farley wanted to make himself known to the other animals that he was there to protect them. This was initially a concern for the pup’s new owner because she thought Farley might end up herding them as though they were literal farm animals. Fortunately, Farley showed how he had a caregiver side to him and was willing to help the animals recover from the trauma they faced in the past.
Now Farley gets to live the life he always wanted as the manager of a farm. Discover more about Farley’s caregiver role at the farm with this video.
