When Suelen Schaumloeffel and her fiance adopted a puppy named Lana, they never knew she had a big heart. That is until they found the pup sharing her blanket with a stray dog. She seemed to remember how tough it was to be homeless in the streets and decided to give the stray a helping hand.
When the Brazilian couple saw Lana in their local animal shelter, they immediately fell in love. Lana was just eight months old, but she had spent most of her life as a stray. But despite living in the streets alone, she was quite friendly and sociable.
When the couple brought Lana home, it didn’t take long for her to adjust to her new life. And just like any other dog, Lana loved her owners as much as herself. She also enjoyed playing and running in their fenced yard.
In Brazil, it was common for dogs to be left outside the house. But that’s not to say that they are left to fend for themselves from the cold night. They are given a warm and cozy house just outside the yard where they can roam as much as they want. Suelen also made sure to give her a thick, warm blanket to keep her cold at night.
But not long after she stayed in her new home, Lana didn’t seem to forget her life out in the streets. One night when the couple went to sleep, Lana somehow went out of her dog house and dragged her blanket with her. The next morning, the couple found her outside, with half of the blanket dangling outside the fence.
To the couple’s surprise, they found a stray dog sleeping on Lana’s dangling blanket. Lana somehow managed to share the luxury of a cozy blanket with a stray dog! The couple took a photo of the precious moment and shared it on social media, where people loved the heartwarming sight.
Suelen tried to approach the stray dog, but it wouldn’t let anyone near it. So she decided to leave food and water to help out the poor stray. But while the homeless dog appreciates the food and water, it never sticks around as it stays away from people. However, the dog does seem to like Lana as it comes back to see her each time.
