Wilbur was a homeless Pitbull that ended up at a local pound. He didn’t have a good chance of getting adopted but he was lucky because a Good Samaritan pulled him out and transferred him to the care of Milla Chappell, a woman who dedicates her time to fostering rescue animals. He was clueless that the moment he stepped foot in her house signaled the beautiful change that was about to happen in his life.
He was shy and timid at first but Wilbur was immediately drawn to Milla’s horses the moment he saw them. He stood on the fence line and begged them for attention. He was so happy to see and watch them run across the field.
On the day Milla took Wilbur to the pet store, he walked down the aisle where the toys were and checked every rubber ball and stuffed animal. He sniffed them and picked up what he liked. He didn’t have a toy of his own in the past but he knew which one to choose.
The dog was skeptical about his foster family at first but Patty Cake, his foster dog sibling, helped him decompress. He found comfort in her and she taught her how to live in a home. With her help, he also discovered the fun of playing with other dogs.
Wilbur adapted to his new environment in no time. He liked how his life changed, and he continued to progress even more when he finally met Rinnah, his human sister. He adored her right off the bat and he licked her face all the time.
In no time, Wilbur has stolen everyone’s hearts in the family. He grew close to each of them and created a bond so strong that Milla decided to keep him for good.
Today, Wilbur helps prep other foster dogs to be ready for their new homes. The second he sees them arrive, he greets them with his happy tail wag and gives them a tour around the house and the farm. He plays with them and he teaches them how to have fun.
Wilbur’s life changed when he found his new home. And he will forever be grateful for the second chance he got.
