It is unimaginable what the army goes through every day to serve their country. Despite the dangers of being a soldier, they face each day with a tough attitude and believe that everyone in their crew will have their back, including dogs who work in the military.
Taylor, a yellow Labrador, also called Princess Taylor or Taytay, is a crowd favorite among the military men she worked with during two of her deployments in Afghanistan. Her life has devoted to working and serving the United States of America.
Just like any other hero, after working for so long, she deserves the big break that she deserves. At the end of their service, military dogs are usually put up for adoption and their handlers are often prioritized since they’ve already been through so much together.
So for Taylor’s retirement, she gets to go home to her old partner in the army, Sergeant Tom Hansen, who is now her official hooman. Back in Afghanistan, they worked together protecting each other from hidden explosives all around the area. They got by each day knowing that they will always be there for one another.
Although getting them back together wasn’t easy and was rather costly, thanks to the kind efforts of Molly Oliver, a veteran flight attendant, Taylor was able to travel all the way to Boise to meet Tom. Molly has a passion for dogs and loved reuniting them with their old partners.
She volunteered to take care of Taylor and Tom’s reunion and even flew first class with the doggo. When they arrived in Boise, I the big reunion finally took place. Tom couldn’t believe that he was finally with Taylor again after being separated for two years.
The good doggo still recognized her old pal and was very excited to see him once again. Now, they can actually spend the rest of their lives together without having to worry about working again. Because of her great service and dedication, Taylor is finally in her well-deserved forever home.
