Rosie was only a few weeks old when a man named Ying found her in a public park in Singapore. She was lying down in a puddle of dirty rainwater. The kind man was on his way to work, but he couldn’t just leave the poor pooch behind. He tried to coax the pup out of the water, but it seemed that she was too weak to move.
So Ying took the pup and carried her to the nearest vet. What he learned next broke his heart.
Weak and exhausted
After conducting several tests, the vet said that Rosie’s condition was not looking good. In fact, it was very grim. The poor pooch was severely emaciated and she likely hadn’t had any food for a long time. Her blood tests also showed that she has multiple infections and diseases.
Her body was so weak and exhausted that the vet told Ying to be prepared for the worst. There was a good chance that the puppy would not survive the night.
Determination
At that point, Ying has made it his mission to help the dog. He brought her home and gave her a comfortable place to stay in. For the next several hours, he watched over her, hoping hard that she will get stronger.
The next day, Ying was ecstatic to discover that Rosie survived the night. But she was still very weak. The kind man and his family gave her lots of care and attention. She started showing progress in the days that followed.
By the fourth day, Rosie was lifting her head. She even showed signs that she wanted to move.
As her muscles her weak, they started doing therapy with her. They would help her walk inside a tub of water.
She was soon walking on her own.
A few months after she was rescued, Rosie was running around. She was so full of energy that she would run fast whenever she got the chance. She now lives permanently with Ying and his family and she has gone so far ever since she was rescued.
