The world is full of wonderful dogs, and among the dog breeds known for their tolerant nature towards kids, the Cane Corso stands out.
So when a baby girl petted a giant Cane Corso, the kiddo’s mom wasn’t concerned that something untoward would happen.
The male dog seems to have sensed the baby girl’s curiosity. He allowed her to pet him gently and sniff his nose.
The dog’s owner says the Corso is so gentle with her daughter. Some other pets would have barked and growled, but this one didn’t.
The dog’s calm behavior indicated that he has been properly socialized by his human parents.
These dogs are part of the Mastiff family, which comprises dog breeds known for their gentle nature with kids.
Corso love
So while one needs to supervise interactions between canines and babies closely for safety’s sake, it is reassuring that the dog in this video didn’t need to be.
The dog didn’t bite or snap at the baby girl, who seemed to be having fun with her dog friend. The Corso’s gentle movements spoke of his fondness for curious kids in general.
Pet pal
One is sure that if the dog had wanted to act differently, he would have done so. He didn’t, and instead, allowed the kid to hold his mouth flaps and jowls to look at his huge teeth.
It’s interesting that the dog didn’t try to lick or chew on her hands, but allowed her to touch his face with no signs of agitation. What a great dog, perfectly matched to a great family.
It’s dog behavior like this that makes dog owners want to go out and buy a Cane Corso.
If you want such a dog, you’ll need to do your research about this dog breed. You’ll also need tons of patience, but it will all be worth it.
