Chris and Marissa Hughes love dogs so much that they adopted not only one but eight adorable dogs! And while it’s always a great idea to adopt dogs in an animal shelter, the couple decided to search at another place where dogs need help the most: in the lonely and loveless streets.
The couple currently has eight dogs. They willingly opened their home to them and made them official members of the family because dogs have always been central to their hearts. The couple has also established a non-profit organization called Mr. Mo Project, which assists sick dogs and helps them find permanent families.
At home, the couple and their dogs sleep beside each other. But as their adopted dogs, a.k.a. family members, grew to eight canines, they knew they had to make a big adjustment regarding their sleeping arrangements.
As a solution, the couple contacted a dog furniture maker to make a customized bed for them where their eight dogs (including them) can fit comfortably. After waiting for six months for the customized bed to be built, their long wait was all worth it. The bed turned out very large but stunningly beautiful; it even has dog stairs!
The head-turning bed has two large mattresses and a headboard measuring 6-foot-tall with unique pawprint engravings that add beauty to the ‘queen of all queen-sized beds.’
The bed is big enough that the couple still has ample space, even when all eight dogs are comfortably snuggling. And by looking closer, their bed reflects how the couple loves their dogs. It also serves as a sign\ that the fluffy beings are not just mere pets but actual family members.
