The Animal Care Trust rescue volunteers in Taiwan recently saved a pup despite an enormous circumstance. Sean McCormack, the organization’s founder, and Ross Tweedie, an experienced hiking guide, set out to a one-of-a-kind rescue operation in a remote village.
The two undertook a six-hour trek into the mountains to reach the wounded pup. There was no time to spare, as they needed to find the puppy quickly.
They got the information based on a post from a concerned hiker who passed by the pup’s sad situation. With the absolute determination to help the unfortunate dog, the team had to spend a generous amount of effort and dedication to reach the village.
When they arrived, they immediately searched for the dog, afraid they were too late. Thankfully, the rescuers found the poor, injured pup hiding underneath the chairs at the exact location indicated in the post.
The dog immediately approached Sean and Ross when they called out for her. She knew that help had finally come to her, and she was confident about their intentions.
The rescued pup had an injury to the front leg, so they applied a bandage to prevent further injuries. The team returned to the city, carrying the pup in their backpack.
While making its way to safety, the dog remained well-behaved and calm. When the team arrived, they ensured that a veterinarian treated the dog.
They also named the brave dog Sandy. Sandy recovered from her injuries quickly and was up and running.
A restaurant owner named Bob volunteered to foster her temporarily. But then, Bob couldn’t help but adore Sandy, so eventually, he officially adopted her.
