KC was surrendered to the Sacramento Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) by her family. It was a good thing that a man named Lee Asher was moved by the story of the 14-year-old senior dog and chose to foster her.
When Lee approached KC’s kennel, the poor girl was terrified and perplexed. KC wound up in the pound because her prior family had to relocate, as shared by Marnie, Lee’s friend at the shelter.
KC spent the past fourteen years with her previous family, but they had to relocate. Marnie explained that the dog’s owners were likely unable to pay the pet deposit or transport, which is why they surrendered her rather than abandoning her on the streets.
Lee was taken aback by the fact that KC had been abandoned at the shelter just for that reason given to the shelter, but he promised to do everything he could to make KC happy. The man stated that he will give KC as many belly rubs and massages as she requires, as well as the greatest meals that he can provide for the dog.
Lee was about to leave the kennels when he came across Pearlie, a small puppy wearing a cone of shame. Pearlie has just had oral surgery that time. She also preferred ladies over males.
Sydney, Lee’s girlfriend, wanted to foster the two canines, but the shelter had a regulation that said each individual could only care for one puppy at a time. Lee and Sydney eventually agreed that he would foster KC under his name while Sydney looked after Pearlie. Lee and Sydney were allowed to bring KC and Pearlie home for foster care once the shelter staff approved.
As soon as she put her foot out of her kennel, Pearlie bowed, rolled over on her back, and showed them her belly. Looks like someone is asking for belly rubs!
Lee drove his new foster pets to his house. He then introduced KC and Pearlie to all of his dogs, and they got along quite well almost immediately.
